Shopify app terms of service
These terms cover your use of the AffiliateTracking app for Shopify. By installing the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't install it. Last updated .

1. Who's who
"We" and "us" means SAAS SEO AGENCY LLC, a US limited liability company that runs AffiliateTracking. "You" means the merchant, the person or company that installs the app on a Shopify store, and the staff you let use it. "Affiliates" means the affiliates, creators and referring customers in your programs.
Shopify isn't a party to these terms. Your use of Shopify is covered by Shopify's own terms.
2. The app
AffiliateTracking runs affiliate, creator and refer-a-friend programs for your store. It tracks referrals, credits commission on paid orders, holds commissions that look like fraud for your review, and helps you pay affiliates. It's installed and opened from your Shopify admin, and it gets only the permissions you approve there. Some features ask for extra permissions when you turn them on. If you say no, that feature stays off.
3. Plans and billing
- The plans, prices and trials are the ones shown on our Shopify App Store listing and on the app's plan page when you choose. Prices are in US dollars.
- Shopify bills your plan every 30 days, or yearly if you pick a yearly plan, on your Shopify invoice. We never see your card.
- Paid plans that show a free trial aren't charged until the trial ends. Cancel before then and you pay nothing.
- You can change or cancel your plan any time in Shopify admin. A cancel takes effect at once.
- We never charge a share of your affiliate sales, and we never upgrade your plan without your approval.
- If we change a price, Shopify asks you to approve it before it applies.
- If you think a charge is wrong, email us and we'll look into it.
4. Your data
The data in your app account is yours: your affiliates, codes, clicks, orders, commissions, payouts and ledger. We process it only to run the app for you, as your processor. The data processing addendum forms part of these terms and covers personal data. The Shopify app privacy policy explains what the app reads and how long it's kept.
You're responsible for having a lawful basis for the data your programs collect, for telling your shoppers and affiliates about it, and for your store's consent banner. The app respects your shoppers' consent choices through Shopify's Customer Privacy API.
You can export your data from the app at any time. Keep your own copy of anything you can't lose.
5. Your program and your affiliates
Your affiliate program is between you and your affiliates. You set the commission, the rules and the terms they agree to, and you decide who joins. You're responsible for paying what you owe them, for any taxes and tax forms that apply, and for following the advertising disclosure rules where you sell. The affiliate portal shows your brand, not ours.
6. Payouts
We never hold or move your money. Payouts go from your own accounts: PayPal, Wise or Tremendous when you connect them, store credit or gift cards in your store, or a payment file you send yourself. Each payout needs your approval. You're responsible for the accounts you connect, their fees and their terms. We aren't responsible for a payout you approve, or for a delay or failure at your payment provider.
7. Fraud holds are a tool, not a guarantee
The app flags and holds commissions that look like fraud. It can miss fraud, and it can flag honest sales. A person on your team decides what to release, pay or reject. The app never decides anything about your shoppers.
8. Fair use
Don't use the app to break the law or Shopify's rules, to send spam, or to track people without the notice or consent the law requires. Don't try to break into our systems, reach another merchant's data, or get around plan limits. We can suspend an account that does, or that puts other merchants at risk. Where we can, we'll tell you first.
9. Support and availability
Support is by live chat in the app and by email at support@affiliatetracking.co. We work to keep the app running and post incidents on our status page, but we don't promise it will never go down. Maintenance and upgrades can cause short interruptions. We keep the app updated for as long as you use it.
10. Uninstalling
You can uninstall any time from your Shopify admin. Billing stops when you do. We email your store address a link to export your data, which works for 7 days. After that, your store's data is deleted as described in the privacy policy. Affiliate discount codes stay active in your store until you turn them off.
11. No warranty and limit of liability
The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and we'll email your store address before a change that reduces your rights takes effect. If you keep using the app after that, the new terms apply.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in New York County, New York, unless the law where you are gives you the right to sue at home.
